LEVEL 6 – DIPLOMA COURSES
Entry Requirements
An individual entering this course should have any of the following minimum requirements:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) with a minimum mean grade of C- (C minus) or
- Level 5 certificate in a related course with one year of continuous work experience or
- Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
Industrial Attachment
An individual enrolled in this course will be required to undergo an industrial attachment in a firm for a period of at least 480 hours. Attachment will be undertaken upon completion of the course or the unit of learning.
Assessment
The course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an internal accredited verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET/CDACC.
Certification
A candidate will be issued with a Certificate of Competency on demonstration of competence in a unit of competency. To attain the qualification of Level 6, the candidate must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency as given in qualification pack. These certificates will be issued by TVET CDACC in conjunction with training provider.
Fee Structure
- Duration - 6 semesters
- At most 5 semesters of learning and 1 semester of industrial attachment
- Application Fee - Ksh 500 payable once upon application for East Africans
- Identification Card - Ksh 300 payable once on admission
- Caution Money - Ksh 1,500 payable once on admission
- Total Ksh. 37,300 (First semester only)
- Other Subsequent Semesters - Ksh. 35,000 per semester
- TVET CDACC Examinations – Paid separately, per each unit registered.
- Industrial attachment fees Ksh. 6000 (Final semester)
- Graduation Fees Ksh. 5000
LEVEL 5 – CERTIFICATES SHORT COURSES
Entry Requirements
An individual entering this course should have any of the following minimum requirements:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) with a minimum mean grade of D (D Plain) or
- Level 4 certificate in a related course with one year of continuous work experience or
- Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)

An individual enrolled in Level 5 will be required to undergo an industrial attachment for a period of at least 360 hours. Attachment will be undertaken upon completion of the course or the unit of learning.

LEVEL 4 – SHORT COURSES

PAY PER SESSION
Entry Requirements
An individual entering this course should have any of the following minimum requirements:
- Interest in learning a specific Music Instrument, Vocals Training or understanding a specific area in Theatre Arts.
- Learning is personalized between the tutor and learner.
- The students need to commit at least ONE uninterrupted hour per session for learning and practice.
- Lessons are scheduled according to the student’s availability; this allows for flexibility.
- Internal NIMPA curriculum is applied in this program.
Assessment
The course will be assessed internally as deemed necessary by the Tutor. This entails extra hours of practice out of the scheduled training hours.
Certification
This program seeks to sharpen one’s interest and talent in a given area in Music or Theatre. NIMPA, therefore does not offer any certification for the program
